BREAKING: 541810 NAICS Size Standard Increases to $22.5M

A few hours ago, the Federal Register published a final rule that includes the SBA's increase of size standards across a handful of marketing communications NAICS codes. Here's the high-level break down of five of our industry specific NAICS codes and the impact that takes effect as of May 2022:

  • 541810, Advertising Agencies increased to $22.5M

  • 541830, Media Buying Agencies increased to $28.5M

  • 541430, Graphic Design Services remained at $8M

  • 541613, Marketing Consulting Services remained at $16.5M

  • 541820, Public Relations Agencies remained at $16.5M

Other NAICS codes that might be of interest and are commonly used: 

  • 541611, Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services increased to $21.5M

  • 541910, Marketing Research and Public Opinion Polling increased to $20M

  • 541612, Human Resources Consulting Services increased to $25.5M

  • 541990, All Other Professional Scientific and Technical Services increased to $17M

For those companies that use 541810 as their primary NAICS code, this is huge news!

For small businesses, it allows a longer run way to remain small.

For midsize businesses, this might result in you being a small business again (making you to be eligible to compete as a SB)

For large businesses, this may change your anticipated competitive sets as well as your small business contracting plans.
