Marketing Contract Awards in June

The federal "busy season" is upon us. In June, we saw a nice uptick in federal marketing communications-focused contract awards. Here's a high-level snapshot of the larger, competitive contract awards in June:

  • Weber Shandwick retains their Health Insurance Exchange Public Education and Outreach contract at CMS valued at $537M

  • Synergy Enterprises retained their "Talk They Hear You" national media campaign contract focused on preventing and reducing underage drinking. SAMHSA awarded this for $15.5M.

  • Ogilvy won a $1.5M contract at NIH's National Institute on Drug Abuse for NCATS SBIR/STTR Communications and Outreach Support

  • The Scientific Consulting Group won a $1.9M competitive Task Order on PICS II for Communications and Outreach Support for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases

  • Banyan Communications won a $2.0M competitive Task Order on CDC's Health Marketing Services BPA for NCIPC Digital Strategy and Communication Support

  • RTI won a $1.3M competitive Task Order on CDC's Health Marketing Services BPA for COVID-19 and Emergency Preparedness Messaging

And, we also saw continued consolidation in the market with Westat acquiring Insight Policy Research. This continues the ongoing consolidation activity - previously highlighted acquisitions by Creative Marketing Resources, MarCom Group, Yes&, and others.

Congratulations to Weber Shandwick, Synergy, Ogilvy, The Scientific Consulting Group, Banyan, RTI, as well as Westat on their noteworthy June!
